01 · Who We Are
PDL Trading ("we", "our", "the company") is a luxury corporate gifting and branded workwear atelier headquartered in Johannesburg, South Africa, with showrooms in Cape Town and Lagos. We are the responsible party for personal information processed through our website, online registration, and client commissions in terms of the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA) and, where applicable, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
02 · Information We Collect
We collect only what is necessary to serve you with discretion:
- Identity & contact: first name, surname, company, email, telephone, physical and billing address.
- Reseller verification: VAT number, BEE rating, HDI / female ownership status, supporting documents.
- Commerce: orders, invoices, payment confirmations (we never store full card details, these are tokenised by our payment processors).
- Technical: IP address, browser, device type, pages visited, and consent preferences via cookies.
- Communications: enquiries, briefs and correspondence with the atelier.
03 · How We Use Your Information
- To assess and approve reseller registration applications.
- To present trade pricing and process orders, payments and deliveries.
- To issue proforma invoices, EFT confirmations and tax invoices.
- To respond to commissions, fittings and bespoke enquiries.
- To send transactional emails and, with consent, our correspondence.
- To detect fraud, comply with law, and improve our services.
05 · Retention
We retain financial records for seven (7) years as required by South African tax legislation. Marketing data is retained until you withdraw consent. Reseller applications are retained for the duration of the trading relationship plus three (3) years.
06 · Your Rights
Under POPIA and GDPR you have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you.
- Request correction or deletion of inaccurate or outdated data.
- Object to processing or withdraw consent at any time.
- Lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator (South Africa) at inforegulator.org.za.
07 · Security
All data is transmitted over TLS 1.3 and stored on encrypted infrastructure. Access is restricted on a need-to-know basis. Payments are processed exclusively by PCI-DSS certified providers, we never see or store full card numbers.
